Established in 1978 Bangor Abbey Preschool has served the community in Bangor Co. Down, bringing quality preschool education to hundreds of children over the years. It has seen many dedicated staff and even had more than 1 address we called home. Our permanent home is in Clandeboye Primary School where we love being part of the school community.
We are a double award winning preschool and a registered forest school as well a muddy puddle advocate.
We are very proud of our glowing inspection reports from both Department of Education and The Early Years Team.

OUR CLASSES
High Quality Education for children 2 years 10 months to 4 years old.
FUNDED PRESCHOOL
All children are entitled to 1 year of funded preschool education.
We offer up to 32 full time funded preschool places in 2 classes for children in their preschool year.
We follow the NI Preschool Curriculum and are quality controlled by the Education Authority and The Early Years Team.

We are a child centred care and education, school based setting striving to deliver warm and nurturing high quality inclusive environments both indoors and outdoors for preschool aged children through rigorous self evaluation. We are passionate about natural materials and encouraging learning through children’s instinctive curiosity and sense of awe using an explorative approach to play.
